Abstract

Inspection of raw materials: Verify the part drawing number, material grade, furnace batch number, batch number, and input quantity on the certificate of conformity; randomly inspect 1 to 3 pieces, checking the cross-sectional dimensions of the raw material, cutting length and tolerances, and ensuring there are no surface folds, cracks, inclusions, or scars.

Preparation Process Before Forging

① Inspection of Raw Materials: Verify the part drawing number, material grade, furnace batch number, batch number, and input quantity on the certificate of conformity; randomly inspect 1 to 3 pieces, checking the cross-sectional dimensions of the raw material, cutting length and tolerances, and ensuring there are no surface folds, cracks, delaminations, or scars.

② Inspection of Equipment: Forging equipment, trimming equipment, and heating furnaces should be in good condition and display a "Good Condition" label.

③ Inspection of Measuring Tools, Instruments, and Meters: Calipers, height gauges, measuring tools, thermocouples, and infrared thermometers should be within the verification cycle.

④ Inspection of Tooling: The inspection and repair cycle of forging dies; forging dies can only be officially put into mass production after passing inspection or after the trial-forged workpieces are qualified; if any issues are found with the first piece, intermediate piece, or last piece during inspection, or if there are serious defects such as folds, cracks, insufficient forging, incomplete filling, and misalignment in the forged pieces, or if there are abnormalities in the forging temperature, residual flash, and the distribution of flash around the forged piece, or if there are abnormalities in the working condition or performance of the forging die, production should be immediately halted. Production can only resume after corrective measures such as inspection, repair, or replacement of the forging die have been taken to resolve the above issues.
